As we know that Domicile Certificate can be made only in one State/UT. Obtaining Domicile Certificate from more than one State/UT is a crime.Students are advised not to do this type of mistake otherwise it can create problem in future.
Domicile can be issued to a candidate who has been residing in the State of Rajasthan for 10 years or more.
Widows of other states , when married to persons entitled to the grant of Bonafide Certificates of Rajasthan shall be eligible for the issue of such certificates.Similarly widow female residents of the State Rajasthan , when married to persons having their permanent home outside the Rajasthan State, shall be ineligible for Domicile.
In case of minors, the certificate is issued on the basis of parents’ certificates.
Sub Divisional Officer or Assistant Collector and Executive Magistrate (in special cases) can issue domicile certificate.
There are two ways through which we can apply for a domicile certificate.
Apply through CSC Centre.
As know that in recent few years central Govt. have encouraged people for opening CSC center.CSC Centre are Citizen Service centre where you can go to apply for domicile certificate. You can locate your nearest CSC centre easily on Google.
Another method is to apply through SDM/Tehsildar’s office.Approach your nearest Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Tehsildar’s office/Revenue Department/District Collector’s Office .They will tell you the procedure and all the documents that are required for Domicile.
Affidavit by the applicant.
Photocopy of ration card.
Election Photo ID card (EPIC)/Electoral Roll.(Photocopy)
Photocopy of educational certificates to verify the place of study.
Photocopy of the Birth Certificate.
Any other document related to property/rent receipt, etc.
Certificate by two responsible gazetted officers.
In case of rural areas, the report of the Patwari is required who takes report from Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat.
